So on a business trip and a set of VOTT shows up on Nextdoor. As i currently run all tube, I've been looking to try some horns for a while and the price was right at 500 for the pair. So, my son is going to pick them up for me tomorrow but I won't get to tear into them until next week to fully see what i got. The suspense is killing me. But my google skills suggest its a A7 cabinet design 511b horn and it looks to have a correct Altec Crossover and 15" in it. Ive been told it has 500hz crossovers.. The cabinets in photos look first rate with rosewood veneer/ply so hopefully they will pass the wife test. Anyone want to place any bets on whats inside when i take a look? Also, any advice powering them up for the first time? Im going to have to assume the caps are done for.
